The Toshiba Portege M100 laptop was originally supplied from the Toshiba factory with the following specifications and software. The Portege M100 CPU is the Intel Pentium M 1.2 GHz running at a clock speed of 1.2 GHz. The laptop was supplied with a standard 256 MB of DDR SDRAM memory. Graphics was originally an AGP 4x Intel Extreme Graphics 2 The video card runs at XGA. The motherboard was designed around the Intel 855GM chipset running at 400 MHz. Storage was on a standard 40 GB drive with networking running on the 10/100 Ethernet device. The original system was also supplied with Adobe Acrobat Reader, Drivers & Utilities, InterVideo WinDVD, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Microsoft Windows Media Player, Toshiba ConfigFree, Toshiba Custom Utilities (Some additional software is not included).

The Portege M100 is a 32 bit laptop and can natively run any 32 bit operating system.

Toshiba Portege M100 laptop specifications were as follows.
The original Windows® type and edition supplied by Toshiba was the Microsoft Windows XP Professional. The Portege M100 CPU is an Intel Pentium M 1.2 GHz. This system is shipped with a standard 256 MB of DDR SDRAM memory. Graphics was originally provided by the AGP 4x Intel Extreme Graphics 2 graphics card. The display of the Portege M100 was 30.7 cm. The motherboard SMT technology was based on the Intel 855GM chipset running at 400 MHz.

The human interface hardware uses the driver for the KYE Systems NetScroll Mini Traveler Genius NetScroll 120 hardware.
Toshiba HD audio devices also use the drivers for the Intel N10 ICH 7 high definition controller.
The portege M100 firewire device driver can use the Texas Instruments PCIxx12 OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 host controller.
The firewire hardware uses the driver for the Texas Instruments TSB43AB22 A IEEE-1394a-2000 controller (PHY Link) hardware.
Toshiba graphics hardware will need the driver for the Intel 82852 855GM integrated hardware.
The graphics device hardware is associated with the AMD ATI Mobility Radeon X1300 (M52) hardware.
The portege M100 HD audio hardware can also use the Realtek high definition audio hardware.

It is worth remembering that some operating systems such as Windows® XP were originally released on October 25 2001, making the original Windows® XP nearly 25 years old. Toshiba® Portege M100 Laptop (US) Windows® 10 Recovery Software

The Toshiba Portege M100 Windows® 10 recovery software is available on a DVD disk set, USB or download ISO image and is designed for use specifically with the Toshiba Portege M100.

More Information About The Toshiba Portege M100 Drivers

The driver disk / ISO / USB is supplied with the Portege M100 recovery media and is not a stand alone product.
After you have re-installed the operating system on your Toshiba Portege M100, things like your sound or graphics will not be working correctly. This is because the operating system would of set-up your computer with default or generic drivers that are designed only to operate at minimal levels or may not work at all. A driver is the communication software that interfaces with the computer's specific hardware. Some form of driver is required for the hardware to operate in any way. Windows® default drivers are designed so that that basic start-up requirements are met, such as being able to see the display. These are not optimized for the Portege M100 and are very very slow. In cases where the computer is using a default display driver, you will not even be able to see the full screen resolution. Our Portege M100 compatible driver disk is one of the most versatile ever released. We think that a driver disk full of compressed, out of date and hard to install driver files is just not good enough. This driver disk will supply you with all the very latest Toshiba Portege M100 drivers. Once the disk has automatically set-up your network drivers, and if you have internet connectivity, the system will then also update, replace and remove any old or broken device drivers. As an added bonus you can use this disk up to three times on three separate computers.
