The EG553 is a 64 bit laptop and can natively run any 64 bit operating system.
The 64 bit CPU can also run a 32 bit x86 operating system using built in hardware emulation.
Yakumo storage devices also use the drivers for the Ricoh R5C843 MMC host controller.

Yakumo® EG553 Laptop (US) Windows® 10 Recovery Software
The Yakumo EG553 Windows® 10 recovery software is available on a DVD disk set, USB or download ISO image and is designed for use specifically with the Yakumo EG553.
If Yakumo® originally supplied your laptop with Windows® 10, or if you upgraded it from or Windows® 8.1 or 8, then this software will use your built in product key to automatically reinstall or repair your system. If you have upgraded from Windows® 7 or your product key is not built in you can select the edition for repair or reinstall from a drop down menu during the repair or reinstall process.
