The following hardware and software was used in the construction of the Sager 5100S :
The 5100S is a 64 bit laptop and can natively run any 64 bit operating system.
The 64 bit CPU can also run a 32 bit x86 operating system using built in hardware emulation.
Sager imaging hardware will need the driver for the ALi UVC (M5606 video camera) hardware.

Please remember that some operating systems are old and in the case of Windows® XP, an OEM disk set from Sager® will be up-to 25 years old! Even a relatively new operating system like Windows® 7 was released 12 years ago! A normal system resource and drivers would be so old they would be relatively useless. The actual age of an original OEM disk will depend on the manufacturing date of your computer, but in most cases it will be between 2 and 5 years out of date. As many updates and releases take place in those time periods the original OEM disks will contain a very old edition of the operating system and out of date drivers.
A list of operating system release dates is shown below.
We will supply you with a genuine operating system Recovery Disk, and driver Recovery Disk, along with a system that will scan and update your drivers live. This ensures you have the most up-to-date operating system and drivers available. To use our service a valid product key (found on the 5100S COA ) is required. If you have the Windows® 10 8.1 or Windows® 8 operating system and your machine was originally installed by Sager® and you do not see a COA then your product key should be embedded in the 5100S BIOS. In this case the Windows® recovery disk will retrieve your serial number from the 5100S BIOS and automatically activate it with the Microsoft® servers as soon as your system goes on-line. Sager® 5100S Laptop (US) Windows® 10 Recovery Software
The Sager 5100S Windows® 10 recovery software is available on a DVD disk set, USB or download ISO image and is designed for use specifically with the Sager 5100S.
If Sager® originally supplied your laptop with Windows® 10, or if you upgraded it from or Windows® 8.1 or 8, then this software will use your built in product key to automatically reinstall or repair your system. If you have upgraded from Windows® 7 or your product key is not built in you can select the edition for repair or reinstall from a drop down menu during the repair or reinstall process. Once your Sager 5100S Windows® 10 operating system is repaired or reinstalled the drivers and associated software are all restored using the Sager 5100S driver resource software. Once repaired or reinstalled Windows® 10 will then automatically connect to the Microsoft® activation servers and activate.
All the following editions of Windows® 10 are included with the recovery software and on the list below.
