The Original IBM ThinkPad 240 2609 Operating System Was Microsoft Windows 98 Second Edition
The IBM ThinkPad 240 2609 laptop was originally supplied from the IBM factory with the following specifications and software. The ThinkPad 240 2609 CPU is the Intel Celeron 400 MHz running at a clock speed of 400 MHz. The laptop was supplied with a standard 64 MB of SDRAM memory. Graphics was originally an PCI NeoMagic MagicGraph 128XD (NM2160) 2 MB VRAM The video card runs at SVGA. The motherboard was designed around the Intel 440DX chipset running at 66 MHz. Storage was on a standard 12 GB drive with networking running on the normal standard Ethernet and wireless controller device. The original system was also supplied with Drivers & Utilities, Lotus SmartSuite Millennium, Netscape Communicator, Norton AntiVirus, Puma Intellisync 97 (Some additional software is not included).
