The Aspire 1522WLMi CPU is the AMD Athlon 64 3000+ / 1.8 GHz running at a clock speed of 1.8 GHz. The laptop was supplied with a standard 512 MB of DDR SDRAM memory. Graphics was originally an AGP 8x NVIDIA GeForce FX Go5700 64 MB DDR SDRAM The video card runs at WXGA. The motherboard was designed around the VIA K8N800 chipset running at the standard speed. Storage was on a standard 60 GB drive with networking running on the Gigabit Ethernet device. The original system was also supplied with Acer Disk-to-Disk Recovery, Acer Launch Manager, Acer System Recovery, Acer eManager, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Cyberlink PowerDVD , Microsoft Works, NTI CD-Maker, Norton AntiVirus (Some additional software is not included).

The Aspire 1522WLMi is a 32 bit laptop and can natively run any 32 bit operating system.

Acer Aspire 1522WLMi laptop specifications were as follows.
The original Windows® type and edition supplied by Acer was the Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition. The Aspire 1522WLMi CPU is an AMD Athlon 64 3000+ / 1.8 GHz. This system is shipped with a standard 512 MB of DDR SDRAM memory. Graphics was originally provided by the AGP 8x NVIDIA GeForce FX Go5700 64 MB DDR SDRAM graphics card. The display of the Aspire 1522WLMi was 39.1 cm. The motherboard SMT technology was based on the VIA K8N800 chipset running at the standard speed.

The PCMCIA hardware uses the driver for the Texas Instruments PCI1520 PC card cardbus hardware.
Acer modem hardware will need the driver for the AMD ATI IXP AC97 modem hardware.
The multimedia device hardware is associated with the AMD ATI IXP150 AC97 audio controller.
The Aspire 1522WLMi network hardware can also use the Realtek RTL 8139 8139C 8139C hardware.
The graphics hardware uses the driver for the AMD ATI Radeon Mobility 9200 (M9 5C61 AGP) hardware.
Acer network devices also use the drivers for the Ralink RT2800 PCI hardware.
The Aspire 1522WLMi storage device driver can use the AMD ATI Dual Channel bus master PCI IDE controller.
The Aspire 1522WLMi graphics device driver can use the AMD ATI Mobility Radeon 9600 M10 (RV350) hardware.

Some original operating systems are old, like really old! Windows® XP was originally released on October 25 2001, making it very close to 25 years old. So in some cases an OEM beta recovery disk from Acer® could originally of been published over 25 years ago. This date would obviously depend on the manufacturing date of the Aspire 1522WLMi laptop, but in most cases it will be years out of date and will contain old drivers and a very old edition of the operating system. To overcome this we also supply, with every order, an agile driver recovery disk, which will carry out a live scan and replace and update any old drivers.

Although we do not support Windows® 95 or 98, here is a list of when each OS was released. Windows® 95 August 24, 1995, Windows® 98 June 25, 1998, Windows® XP October 25, 2001, Windows® Vista January 30, 2007, Windows® 7 October 22, 2009, Windows® 8 October 26, 2012, Windows® 8.1 October 17, 2013, Windows® 10 July 29, 2015 and Windows 11 was announced by Microsoft on June 24, 2021.

Remember that a valid product key (found on the Aspire 1522WLMi COA) is required to use the system recovery service. If you have the Windows® 10 8.1 or Windows® 8 operating system and you do not see a COA then your product key will be embedded in the Aspire 1522WLMi BIOS. Acer® Aspire 1522WLMi Laptop (US) Windows® 10 Recovery Software

The Acer Aspire 1522WLMi Windows® 10 recovery software is available on a DVD disk set, USB or download ISO image and is designed for use specifically with the Acer Aspire 1522WLMi.

If Acer® originally supplied your laptop with Windows® 10, or if you upgraded it from or Windows® 8.1 or 8, then this software will use your built in product key to automatically reinstall or repair your system. More Information About The Acer Aspire 1522WLMi Drivers

The driver disk / ISO / USB is supplied with the Aspire 1522WLMi recovery media and is not a stand alone product.
After you have re-installed the operating system on your Acer Aspire 1522WLMi, things like your sound or graphics will not be working correctly. This is because the operating system would of set-up your computer with default or generic drivers that are designed only to operate at minimal levels or may not work at all. A driver is the communication software that interfaces with the computer's specific hardware. Some form of driver is required for the hardware to operate in any way. Windows® default drivers are designed so that that basic start-up requirements are met, such as being able to see the display. These are not optimized for the Aspire 1522WLMi and are very very slow. In cases where the computer is using a default display driver, you will not even be able to see the full screen resolution. Our Aspire 1522WLMi compatible driver disk is one of the most versatile ever released. We think that a driver disk full of compressed, out of date and hard to install driver files is just not good enough. This driver disk will supply you with all the very latest Acer Aspire 1522WLMi drivers.
