The Acer Aspire 1355LM laptop was originally supplied from the Acer factory with the following specifications and software. The Aspire 1355LM CPU is the AMD Athlon XP-M 2600+ / 2 GHz running at a clock speed of 2 GHz. The laptop was supplied with a standard 512 MB of DDR SDRAM memory. Graphics was originally an AGP 8x VIA UniChrome The video card runs at XGA. The motherboard was designed around the VIA ProSavage KN400 chipset running at the standard speed. Storage was on a standard 40 GB drive with networking running on the 10/100 Ethernet device. The original system was also supplied with the Windows® operating system, drivers and associated software.

Acer Intel chipset drivers.
The modem hardware uses the driver for the Intel 82801BA BAM AC97 modem device.
The PCMCIA device hardware is associated with the Texas Instruments PCI1420 PC card cardbus device.
The USB controller hardware uses the driver for the Huawei EC1260 wireless data modem HSD USB card device.
Acer USB controller devices also use the drivers for the Intel 82801BA BAM USB device.
The Aspire 1355LM storage hardware can also use the Intel 82801BA IDE U100 device.
The Aspire 1355LM multimedia device driver can use the Intel 82801BA BAM AC97 audio controller.
Acer network hardware will need the driver for the Intel 82801BA BAM CA CAM ethernet device.
The Aspire 1355LM USB controller device driver can use the Intel 82801BA BAM USB device.

Please remember that some operating systems are old and in the case of Windows® XP, an OEM disk set from Acer® will be up-to 25 years old! Even a relatively new operating system like Windows® 7 was released 12 years ago! A normal system resource and drivers would be so old they would be relatively useless. The actual age of an original OEM disk will depend on the manufacturing date of your computer, but in most cases it will be between 2 and 5 years out of date. As many updates and releases take place in those time periods the original OEM disks will contain a very old edition of the operating system and out of date drivers.

We will supply you with a genuine operating system Recovery Disk, and driver Recovery Disk, along with a system that will scan and update your drivers live. This ensures you have the most up-to-date operating system and drivers available. To use our service a valid product key (found on the Aspire 1355LM COA) is required. If you have the Windows® 10 8.1 or Windows® 8 operating system and your machine was originally installed by Acer® and you do not see a COA then your product key should be embedded in the Aspire 1355LM BIOS. This is because the operating system would of set-up your computer with default or generic drivers that are designed only to operate at minimal levels or may not work at all. A driver is the communication software that interfaces with the computer's specific hardware. Some form of driver is required for the hardware to operate in any way. Windows® default drivers are designed so that that basic start-up requirements are met, such as being able to see the display. These are not optimized for the Aspire 1355LM and are very very slow. In cases where the computer is using a default display driver, you will not even be able to see the full screen resolution. Our Aspire 1355LM compatible driver disk is one of the most versatile ever released. We think that a driver disk full of compressed, out of date and hard to install driver files is just not good enough. This driver disk will supply you with all the very latest Acer Aspire 1355LM drivers.
