11 Million Computers Already Have Windows 10

Windows 10 has been a huge initial success for Microsoft, with over 11 million computers already installed in a little more the first 24 hours. The total number of installed devices, including phones and tablets, looks to be around the 16 million mark.

We do wonder however, how many of those installs were from Windows Insiders? (Microsoft beta testing program) and how many are true new installs?

We are doing everything we can to upgrade the world to Windows 10 as quickly as possible over the coming days and weeks ahead".

Everybody knows we are huge Windows fans, however we do have some issues with EULA and we suggest people do read it.

Some of our customers have reported that their computers automatically updated and upgraded to Windows 10, this is to be expected if you already pre registered for the update, however the "black dead screen " was not part of the deal! It looks like there are still problems with some laptops with nVidia graphics cards. These issues manifest themselves as a black screen, and the system looks dead or broken. Microsoft and nVida are aware of this issue, and it was thought to of already been resolved. The most up-to-date Windows 10 nVidia beta drivers can be found here. Although we are not sure how much that would help if you have a bricked computer!

Any publicity is good publicity and even reports of people rolling back their OS and of snags with graphics drivers is after all.... more publicity, the more people are talking about the good and bad, the more users are engaged with windows 10.
